Growing up in the Houston area, the first choice for donuts was always Shipley Do-Nuts. Unfortunately, despite having 190 stores across six southern states, Shipley's has not really taken hold in the Austin market. They have three locations in Georgetown, obviously out of reach for Austin residents. But then there is the one wonderfully located south Austin store on Brodie Lane. With that new location, no more must I rely on the overrated, overpriced Krispy Kreme, the subpar Dunkin, or the merely passable Rivercity donuts. Sunday morning gluttony is back baby!
