Week 10: Picks

Posted at November 1, 2007 12:53 AM in College Football .

The system went an excellent 40-11 straight up last week. Unfortunately, it went only 25-24-2 against the spread. Here are the year-to-date results:
WeekStraight Up SU%Against the SpreadATS%
9-22-0733-1568.827-20-157.4
9-29-0737-1669.823-29-144.2
10-06-0735-1964.828-24-253.8
10-13-0741-1474.530-24-055.6
10-20-0733-2062.326-24-352.0
10-27-0740-1178.125-24-251.0
Total218-9569.6159-145-952.3

Once again the best bets underperformed: 10-9-2 ATS, or 52.6%; the regular system picks were 15-15-0, or 50%. After two weeks the revamped best bets are 20-18-3 (52.6%), while the other system picks are 31-30-2 (50.8%). 3 Star picks went 2-5-1. 2 Star picks went 5-2-1. 1 Star picks went 3-2-0. There were not any 4 Star picks. I'd like to see the best bets do better, but the system as a whole has been performing poorly over the last two weeks. Here are my best bets for week 10:
