The Teams: The #6 California Golden Bears (4-0) visit Autzen Stadium to play the #11 Oregon Ducks (4-0)
When: Saturday 9/29/07 at 2:30 PM Central
Television:
The Playmakers:

Oregon Ducks
QB Dennis Dixon: Built a lot like Vince Young, 932-11-0 passing and 291-4 rushing
RB Jonathan Stewart: NFL caliber back and a great kick returner, 503-4 rushing
WR Jaison Williams: Has to step up even more with the loss of Brian Paysinger, 18-267-4 receiving

California Golden Bears
QB Nate Longshore: Off to a sluggish start, 852-5-2 passing
RB Justin Forsett: One of the NCAA's leading rushers so far, 484-7 rushing
WR DeSean Jackson: NFL talent, is nursing an injured thumb, 17-151-0 receiving and 7-94-1 on punt returns

The Matchup: This is the premier game of this weekend's action; it's a travesty that it's been relegated to regional coverage while USC once again takes the national spotlight with ABC's primetime game.

The winner of this game will control their own fate in the PAC 10, all they'll have to do it beat USC to win the conference title. This game is loaded with offensive playmakers and figures to be a high scoring affair. The teams are very similar on paper save for two notable exceptions: 1) Ducks QB Dennis Dixon can make huge gains with his feet when the receivers are locked up in coverage; 2) Oregon has been gaining big chunks of yards through the air, averaging 9.39 yards per attempt. Countering those two advantages is this nugget, Ducks RB Jonathan Stewart has never had a good day against Cal. In two games against Cal he has 23 carries for only 41 yards and 1 touchdown.

This one will see a lot of points scored and in the end Oregon has a dual threat QB and the home field advantage working in their favor.

Prediction: Oregon wins 38-31
Computer Says: Oregon wins by 11
Point Spread: Oregon by 5
