Off to a Good Start

As expected, I did very well with my picks. I went 9-1 straight up, only missing on the upset pick of Oregon State over Cal. Against the Spread I was a decent 6-4, so there is some room for improvement. Of course there is even more room for a decline in performance.

Here is a list of results for the games I made picks on:

Away Result Home SU ATS
BU 14 - 44 UT W L
KSU 30 - 42 A&M W W
Mia 27 - 3 GT W L
Ark 30 - 45 UF W W
LSU 16 - 45 UGA W W
Cal 49 - 7 OSU L L
TT 13 - 28 OU W L
WVU 13 - 19 VT W W
PU 41 - 16 ND W W
Aub 34 - 10 Ten W W

Quick Thoughts, Larry King Style: In the Auburn at Tennessee game, the UT freshmen QBs threw 5 interceptions...Purdue QB Kyle Orton's line was 21-31-385-4-0, hey Irish fans, go cry in your bottles of whiskey...Virginia Tech saved the entire nation from a terrible Orange Bowl...UT QB Vince Young was efficient in the passing game, RB Cedric Benson passed Earl Campbell for 2nd place on the UT All-Time rushing yardage list...Georgia Tech was missing RB PJ Daniels, they did put up a good fight, but failed to cover....OU should have won by more than 15 pts, Adrian Peterson looked good though...LSU got dominated, turns out the Bulldogs were just a little bit pissed from being embarrassed by my beloved Tigers in the SEC title game last year, UGA QB David Greene was on fire as he threw on the money strikes en route to 5 TD passes...Time for LSU to look to next year, start JaMarcus Russell at QB to get him experience now and the Tigers will be a favorite for the National Title again in 2005...I was just a little bit off on my Oregon State versus Cal pick, next week's game of USC vs Cal should be a good one.
